MY PSYCHOTHERAPIST STORY

From childhood, I liked listening to people talking. I also asked many questions. Apparently sometimes too personal questions. I really wanted to know things. I was, quite simply, very interested in others and their life stories. By the time I started school, I knew I would study psychology. And upon graduation, I did.
My dream came true, studying psychology at university. But after two intensive years it seemed too introspective. I needed A bigger perspective, so I added political science and international relations to my study plans. But it still wasn’t enough. I needed even more and so I traveled a lot (hitchhiking across Europe), worked abroad (travel guide in Turkey, bartender in England), studied abroad (Liberal Bard college in the US). I needed all this experience to be able to come back home. To myself. Within.
And yet my journey continued. I worked in the corporate world for many years. In Human Resources (I could not work without the human in it). Finally, I ended up in Training. Beautiful work. Helping grown-ups grow.
Throughout this I never abandoned psychology. I have continued with my studies; Training in Career Navigation, Training in Psychotherapy, Mindfulness Training and many others.
I also met my husband during this time. We are raising three kids together. Although sometimes they raise us.
Finally my psychotherapy practice is born. The clients who need help and whom I can help. I learn every day. I still ask a lot, just like when I was a kid. I just pay more attention to whether the other one wants to answer. And here I am. Within.
